Kent D. Stickler

Kent Stickler is president and founder of Stickler Learning, Inc. headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. For more than twenty-five years, Stickler Learning has provided training and motivational speaking services designed to improve quality service, sales, leadership and performance.


Kent is a graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, has an MBA from the University of Illinois, and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is a certified Leader Effectiveness Training (LET) instructor and an accredited Emotional Intelligence (EQ) consultant. More than 7,000 managers have graduated from his LET classes, making him the leading LET instructor in the world.


Prior to starting his own company in Clearwater in 1982, Stickler worked for AT&T, an Illinois banking company and a financial consulting company in Chicago.


Kent currently serves on the faculty of three graduate banking schools, including the University of Colorado in Boulder, University of Wisconsin in Madison, and Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas.


On a personal side, Kent has been Rotary Club President, Chairman of the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, runner-up in the Illinois State Racquetball Championship, and a recent Gold Medalist in the Good Life Fitness Games of Tampa Bay. He is married to Jane and has a daughter, Dr. Sara Allen. Their son Guy, former EVP of Stickler Learning, passed away in 2009.
